McConnellsburg made an impressive showing against the Tussey Mountain Titans Friday night, winning the Sideling Hill League match by a margin of five points. Aiding the Spartans during the 56- 51 win was Jake Boehme and Landon Richards with 12 points each. Boehme tacked on five assists, and Chase Novak added 11 points and four assists. Ian Cheatle also reached double figures with 11 points.

Southern Fulton 66

Southern Huntingdon 36

Southern Fulton found itself in foul trouble early on Friday evening but still managed to easily overcome Southern Huntingdon. Winning the non-league game by 30 points, the Indians were led by Trent Rider with 19 points. Dylan Gordon had 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. Next highest scorer was Connor Litton with nine points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Everett 55

Forbes Road 48

Forbes Road got off to a rocky start Friday night and wasn’t able to make up the difference during a 55-48 Sideling Hill League loss to the Everett Warriors. Brock Broadwater netted 14 points, and Aaron Schepis and Matt Brown followed with 10 and nine points, respectively.

Northern Bedford 46

Chase Novak had a big night for the McConnellsburg Spartans, who downed the Northern Bedford Panthers last Wednesday for a 62-46 Sideling Hill League win. Novak tallied 25 points and seven rebounds. Jake Boehme added 12 points and five assists, Landon Richards netted nine points and seven assists. Tyrelle White also had nine points during the game.

Southern Fulton 52

Tussey Mountain 45

Tussey Mountain may have scored 15 straight points early on last Tuesday evening, but it would be the Southern Fulton Indians who would prevail for the 52- 45 Sideling Hill League win. Dylan Gordon showed off his prowess at the foul line, going 18-for-18 during the match, and rounded out the game with 31 points. Trent Rider was the next highest scorer with eight points, and Connor Litton led the offense with 10 rebounds.

Southern Huntingdon 53

Forbes Road 39

Brock Broadwater led the Forbes Road Cardinals offensive effort last Tuesday during a 53-39 non-league loss to the Southern Huntingdon Rockets. Broadwater scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Matt Brown tacked on eight points, and Aaron Schepis had six points and seven rebounds.

Chestnut Ridge 55

Forbes Road 31

Chestnut Ridge took advantage of Forbes Road’s offense getting off to a slow start and ended the Sideling Hill League game in a 55-31 victory. Brock Broadwater was the high scorer for the Cardinals last Wednesday with eight points and eight rebounds.

Tussey Mountain 41

McConnellsburg 24

McConnellsburg didn’t break out of double digits last Thursday and dropped the Sideling Hill League match to Tussey Mountain 41-24. The Lady Spartans received eight points and 11 rebounds from Bronwyne Mellott. Kylie Keefer tacked on six rebounds, two blocks and four points, and Sam Roberts had six points.

Southern Huntingdon 48

Southern Fulton 46

The Southern Fulton Lady Indians trailed by two points going into the halftime break and ended the non-league match against the Southern Huntingdon Rockets with the same deficit. Olivia Mottern netted 24 points and pulled down seven rebounds during the 48-46 loss last Thursday, and Allison Spade totalled 11 points.

Everett 49

Forbes Road 38

Forbes Road had a big fourth quarter last Thursday evening, but it wasn’t enough to prevail over the Everett Warriors, who clinched the Sideling Hill League match 49-38. Braylin Hohman led her Cardinal teammates with 14 points, and Hannah Rile, Kyra Duvall and McKenzie Gelvin each contributed six points.

Chestnut Ridge 40

Forbes Road 34

Chestnut Ridge and Forbes Road battled it out in overtime last Wednesday with the Lions prevailing in overtime by the final score of 40-34. Mina Wilt tallied 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lady Cardinals in the Sideling Hill League game. McKenzie Gelvin added on eight points, four assists and five steals, and Braylin Hohman had seven points.

Tussey Mountain 52

Southern Fulton 27

Southern Fulton scored eight points or less in each quarter last Monday evening and easily fell to Tussey Mountain. Dropping the Sideling Hill League match 52-27, the Indians were led by Celina Merchant with seven points. Olivia Mottern added six points.

Southern Huntingdon 39

Forbes Road 30

Senior Braylin Hohman tallied nine points and nine rebounds for the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals, who fell to Southern Huntingdon last Monday evening by the final score of 39-30. McKenzie Gelvin chipped in nine points as well, and Hannah Rile and Mina Wilt both added five.

Northern Bedford 68

McConnellsburg 62

Northern Bedford was hot from the three-point zone last Tuesday and pulled off a six-point win over the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans. Dropping the league match 68-62, the Lady Spartans received 27 points and 19 rebounds from Bronwyne Mellott. Kylie Keefer netted 12 points while also pulling down seven rebounds and blocking four shots. Teammate Sam Roberts followed with 11 points.
