On July 20th, 2012 one of the nation’s worst shooting occurred. During a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises,” 12 people were killed and 58 others injured. This tragic event shook the nation, as well as the world. People all over the country have been sending items to the families of the victims of the shooting.
Here in South Fulton, TN two girls are doing their part in helping out the affected families. Paige Cook and Jordan Monroe formed “Aurora Angels,” selling bracelets & Necklaces. Each of the 6 bracelets are decorated with an “A” – symbolizing Aurora, a cross, or both.
“I just couldn’t believe it, it just didn’t seem real, still doesn’t seem real,” says Monroe thinking back about the Aurora, Colorado shooting. When asked what their inspiration for wanting to do this was, Cook said “We just wanted to do something for the families out there, to do anything that could possibly help them get through this rough time.”
The bracelets are $3 each and the necklace is $5. More information is available on their official facebook page and you can order your own bracelet or necklace at their Etsy store.
